In the past year, we have shown amazing growth and potential and as a result, we have been able to attract highly qualified individuals to help our existing and new clients manage business solutions. TCKL, a new minority business company, looks to develop people and existing resources by focusing on our business strategy. This allows us to absorb new technologies and truly prioritize tasks and schedules throughout operations. 5/2008 — Tecknomic has been awarded a new contract Passport for Summer Youth with DOES to design and implement a ten (10) week project-based learning program that includes academic enrichment, career exploration, work readiness and leadership skills training for approximately 6,500 District youth 14 to 18 years of age.
3/2008 — Tecknomic has been awarded a new contract and in addition a new position for an IT specialist in the Unified Communications Center Telecommunications Group. We are continuing to improve the quality, responsiveness and cost effectiveness of communications for the District of Columbia through the current implementation and customization of the Integrated Network Management System (INMS) in the Unified Communications Center and its backup facility across all areas of technology, to include Telephony, Timing, LAN/WAN, CAD and voice logging.
3/2008 — Tecknomic has been awarded a new contract to continue to provide various Human Capitol courses to DPW employees and supervisors. We are happy to help our client improve in any organizational development goals and objective for a better working environment.
2/2008 — Tecknomic was asked to help in the effort to get the DC Baseball Stadium ready for play. We provided (14) technicians to improve the efficiency and meet the existing deadline for Opening Day!
2/2008 — We are please to let you know that our application for Small, Woman- and/or Minority-owned ("SWaM") certification in Virginia was just approved. SWaM Certification Number: 668464
2/2008 — In addition to providing wiring services to the Office of the Chief technology Officer in the District. We are please to add the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs and the Park and Recreations Agency to our local government client list.
1/2008 — We were awarded a new contract to provide a IT ServUs Call Center Manager to the Office of the Chief Technology Officer. The project involves employing a centralized Help Desk, enterprise application and agency specific support. The position provides management to Customer Service Technicians/Tier 1 staff to augment District staff in providing day to day technical assistance to the District agencies.
1/2008 — We just received the good news that Tecknomic is now certified to do business with WMATA as a DBE under their Metropolitan Unified Certification Program (MWUCP).
11/2007 — Washington DC Police Foundation DC Consolidated Forensics Lab Community Education and Outreach Project — We are assisting the work in support of the DC Government’s major multi-year public safety capital outlay plans for a new consolidated laboratory facility. We are currently reaching out to a wide array of communities within the City to keep them informed and aware of the developing nature of this significant governmental program. We are employing a variety of strategies to periodically communicate updated information and briefings on the overall plans and construction status of the new DC crime lab facilities.
